Masculinity: Thoughts on Andrew Tate

I don’t like Andrew Tate. I know that I’m not unique in this opinion. I think he is too abrasive and over-generalises a lot yet he only does this in ways which benefits his cut-throat and harsh narrative. The bi-product of this is objectifying women and creating problematic mindsets towards people’s places in society. It is easy to see why schools and the media have worked so hard to ‘cancel’ him and his teachings. Yet due to his power and influence what he has to say cannot be ignored.

Dating in today's age is incredibly difficult. There is a glutton of choice brought in with various dating apps, the sexual revolution making people less likely to commit, the google psychologists making problems bigger than they need to be and influencers promoting potentially relationship values e.g. perpetuating hypocrisy or exaggerating the need for specific aspects of gender roles whilst ignoring the nuance of personality and circumstance.

Your woke race politics are not promoting equality: reflections on George Floyd

I was there with my friends at the front line of the BLM protests in London back in 2020. I am proud to have done so. George Floyd should not have died under those circumstances. It’s disgusting, devastating and so, so wrong. During the pandemic my racial justice warrior persona was at its strongest. I was posting, I was starting conversations, I was angry. I’ve studied my history, I’ve experienced day to day racism. I have family and friends with skin colour of all shades of brown which has made me more culturally aware than most. I am a strong advocate for change in the system, change in attitudes, unity and proper education on these issues.
